Questions we are asked about this
What is a breaker listed for my panel?
Panels are tested with specific breaker types. A breaker that fits but is not listed for the panel may not grip the bus properly, which can overheat. We use breakers the panel is listed for.
Why is my electrical panel warm?
A panel can feel slightly warm under heavy load, but noticeable heat at a breaker or the cover usually means a loose or overheated connection, or a failing breaker. Have it checked.
Why is my panel buzzing?
Buzzing often comes from a loose connection or a breaker that is failing to make good contact. It should be inspected rather than ignored.
Can a panel be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Damaged breakers and connections can be repaired. Replacement is the better option when the bus is damaged, corrosion is widespread, or breakers for the panel are no longer made.
Do you evaluate panels for insurance or a home purchase?
Yes. We inspect the panel and tell you its condition, what needs repair and whether replacement is advisable, so you have a clear picture before you decide.
My panel got wet. Is it safe?
Do not rely on it until it has been inspected. Water causes corrosion and can create faults that are not visible from the outside.
Do you offer same-day panel repair?
Yes, in Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, South Miami and Miami Beach when scheduling permits. Call (305) 359-7312.
